With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Herb Pawlitsch of North Olmsted, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Herb left this world on July 26, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Pawlitsch and Mary Pawlitsch; his wife Kathy; and his pets, Spanky, Darla, Rascal, Skeeter, Misty and Rio.

He is survived by: his brother Joseph Pawlitsch (Denise); and his nieces, Jennifer and Jessica.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Chapel (6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Charles Vosler wrote a sympathy message

“My wife, Sonnie Vosler and I share great sadness in learning of Herb's passing. I had the pleasure of coaching Herb at Defiance College. Herb was with a group of young men that led Defiance College to an undefeated football season in 1966 setting many records. Herb was also a giant to our young son and was his baby sitter many evenings. I pray to God that he allowed me to be a part of Herb's life. I pray to God that he accepts Herb to allow him to look over all of us and to give him peace.”
