We announce the death of Irene I. Shaker of North Olmsted, Ohio, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Akl Ina and Mahiba Ina; her son Bob Shaker; her siblings, Alfred Ina, Sam Ina and Rhoda Silva (Bernie); her nephew Bill Ina; her stepgranddaughter Michelle Parisi; and her brother-in-law Fuad Shaker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn (Ken Horvat) and Elaine (John Parisi); her daughter-in-law Debbie Shaker; her granddaughters, Jenna Keene (Ben) and Jamie Peltier (Logan); her stepgranddaughter Lydia Nordhoff (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Bradley, Colin Keene, Parker and Ford Peltier; her stepgreat-granddaughter Brighton Nordhoff; her former husband Fred Shaker; her sister Elinor Bowes (Pete); and her siblings-in-law, Carol Ina, Eva Wehbe (late Joe), Frank, Kitty Shaker and Paula Shaker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Irene's favorite charity.
