He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Gobel and Rosie Gobel; his granddaughter Jennifer Dentz (Blake Dentz); and his siblings, Virginia Mae, Marjorie, Margarite, William Mitchell, Thurman, George and Melvin.

He is survived by: his wife Margurette "Peg"; his children, Jack W. Jr. Goble (Valerie Martindale), Barbara Smith (David), Amy Heffner (Thomas) and Timothy Goble (Pamela); his grandchildren, Hunter Allen (Lee), Rowan Goble, Daniel Smith, Catherine Smith (Jason Smith), Amy E. Heffner, Sarah Brewer (Shane), Thomas Heffner, Cassandra Heffner Kish, James Heffner, RoseMarie McCandless (Richard), Amber Marks and Joshua Goble (Natalie Holmes); his great grandchildren, Leo, Angelina, Cole, Gabriel, Ryan, Rylie, Grayson, Emma, Anna, Madeline, Katelyn and Addaline; and his sister Donna Marie McPhail (John). He is also survived by four children, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
