With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James A. Kotlyn of North Olmsted, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kotlyn and Rita Kotlyn (Eiben); and his brother Joseph Kotlyn. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Kotlyn (Kelly); his sons, James P Kotlyn (Kristy), Shawn Kotlyn (Rosalyn) and Michael Kotlyn (Cecilia); his stepsons, Christopher Polak (Svetlana), Mark Polak (Yvonne) and Scott Polak of Broadview Hts; his siblings, Jeffrey Kotlyn (Susan) and Laura Silvia (David Silvia) of St Petersburg, FL; and his grandchildren, Chasten Kotlyn, Nathan Kotlyn (Annie), Evan Kotlyn, Lauren Kotlyn, Jenna Kotlyn, Olivia Kotlyn, Isabelle Kotlyn, Grace Polak and Glen Polak.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home of North Olmsted (29150 Lorain Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
