He is survived by: his father Ted Ackerman Sr. of North Ridgeville; his siblings, Ted Ackerman Jr. (Carol) of Shreve, Barbara Hoyt (Jack) of New Russia Twp and Jill Brentzel of Austin; and his nieces and nephews, Janelle White (Jeff), Andrew Ackerman (April), Sarah Sent (Christian), Rebecca Reynolds (James), Benjamin Hoyt (Amanda), Julia Beall (Robbie) and Jakob Brentzel.
