He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Helms and Sarah Helms. He is survived by: his wife Jeri; and his sons, John R. Helms (Vanessa) of Marengo, OH and Todd Helms (Vicki) of Elyria. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
