He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Lilian; his brother-in-law John Terlaak; and his siblings, Kay Vassar, Mimi Hagert, John Mederer and Bill Belan.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Joseph J. (Erin) of Columbia Station, John (Margie) of Elyria Township, Brian (Michelle) of Grafton and Elizabeth Ivan (Michael) of Olmsted Twp; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Brandon, Sarah and Chris; and his siblings, Henrietta Terlaak of Olmsted Falls and James Belan (Lorri). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
