He was predeceased by : his parents, Elias Sakellakis and Georgia Sakellakis; and his siblings, Socrates Sakellakis and Fotini Manolakis. He is survived by : his wife Effie Sakellakis; his children, Tessie Wakefield (Paul), Georgia Karides (George), Elias Sakellakis (Sydney) and George Sakellakis (Nilli); his grandchildren, Mia Taghi, Jane Wakefield, Nick Wakefield, John Sakellakis and Alysun Sakellakis; his great grandchild George Taghi; and his siblings, Michael Sakellakis and Koula Oikonomidis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 4548 Wallings Road, North Royalton, OH 44133.
