He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Slovonick (Thompson); his daughter Terri Mieyal (Carl); his parents, Michael Fijalkevich and Anna Fijalkevich; and his grandchild Stacy Ritson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Ritson (late Bruce) and Sharon Branco (late John); his siblings, Paul Valley (Marion) and Ann Larsen (Sonny); his grandchildren, Eric Ritson, Gina Branco, Joseph Branco, Julie Mieyal and Ryan Mieyal (Marlene); and his great grandchildren, Johnny Kraus, Avery Kraus, Jaxon Branco, Colton Branco, Wesley Mieyal, Parker Mieyal and Mason Mieyal.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jardine Funeral Home (15822 Pearl Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
