It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Metzgar of Northfield, Ohio, born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Metzgar and Ethel Vanderhoof Metzgar; his wife Mary Beth Hammond; his siblings, Ronald Metzgar, Walter Eugene Metzgar and Barbara McPherson; and his stepmother Betty Metzgar.

He is survived by : his daughter Jacqueline D. "Jackie" Metzgar of Akron, OH; his siblings, Charles Metzgar (Karen) of Titusville, Carolyn Blair of Elizabeth, WV and Roseanne Armstrong (Rick) of Parkersburg, WV; and his sister-in-law Margaret Metzgar of Erie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
