The memory of Darla Kay Elrod of Norton, Ohio, who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 61, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her son Lewis Nicholas; and her mother Linda Thomas. She is survived by: her husband Dave Hanlon; her children, Katie Elrod (Lauran) and David Elrod (Melissa); her grandchildren, Blake, William, Ryker and Nakoa; her father Ron Blondheim Sr. (Pam); and her siblings, Greg Blondheim (Missy), Becky Casto (Rick Farr) and Ron Blondheim Jr. (Christine). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Sophia's Grace Foundation (https://www.sophiasgracefoundation.org), a local animal rescue — a cause that was close to her heart.
