We announce the death of James Nichols (Norton, Ohio), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 82. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Nichols; his children, Jeff Nichols and Christine Rootes (Rick); his stepson Kevin Chan; his grandson Joshua; and his pet Abby. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bacher-Moore Funeral Home (3250 Greenwich Rd, Norton, OH 44203). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
