He was predeceased by: his parents, Antoinette MacKay and John T. MacKay Sr.; his wife Shirley; and his sister Joan Maloney. He is survived by: his children, John Thomas III (Deborah), Michael James and Melissa A. Daisher (Stephen); his grandchildren, Caitlyn MacKay (Tony Leming), Jarrod Barnes (Brittany), Taylor and Jacob Nemeth; his great grandchildren, Remi Rice and Violet Barnes; and his siblings, Paulette Pavone (Chris), Warren MacKay (Helene) and Mark MacKay (Margaret). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
