He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Boone and Lillian Boone; his daughter Sarah Boone; and his brother Brian Boone. He is survived by: his wife Nina; his stepson Mike Oyler (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Holly Oyler, Weston Oyler and Sophia Oyler; his great grandchild Hayden Oyler; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Schenkemberger (Carl) and Linda Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mike chose to donate his body to science to further the research of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
