He was predeceased by: his parents, David Koontz and Bernadette Koontz; his wife Veronica Koontz (Rubus); his brothers, David Koontz, Ralph Koontz and Clair Koontz; and his daughter-in-law Barb Koontz (Bates).
He is survived by: his significant other Anne Seaman; his children, Allen Kevin Koontz, Jr. and Cynthia Yakscoe (Craig); his sister Delores Dillon (Koontz); his grandchildren, Andrew Yakscoe (Gillean) and Amanda Yakscoe (Kaleb); his great grandchild Sylas Silva; his partner's children, John Leake (Adrienne), Andrea Allen (Dale) and David Leake; Sydney Allen and Symon Allen.
