She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Emerick and Helen Emerick (Gibson); her brother-in-law Richard Rick (Witmer); and her uncle Bill Gibson. She is survived by: her husband James G. "Jim" Smith of Norwalk; her sons, Jayson T. Salmons of Norwalk and Justin T. Salmons of Norwalk; her sisters, Barbara J. (Brad) and Bonnie J. Witmer of Ashland, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Scarlett J. Salmons and Owen J. Salmons.
