She was born May 9, 1969, in Castro Valley, CA. She was formerly of Hayward, CA and then relocated to Norwalk in 1985, and has been a resident of Norwalk since that time.

Bridgit is survived by her parents, Bruce and Marjorie Sanford of Norwalk and Richard and Diane Reed of CA; she leaves behind her two children, Daniel Prelipp, Savannah (Robert) Prelipp Nicholas and her son, Nicholas; siblings, David Sanford, and Melanie Sanford Bricker; and several aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins.

Bridgit pride and joy in life were her grandchildren; Adarious, Adelina, Grayson, and Anya, whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bruce H. Sanford Sr., maternal grandparents, Richard and Shirley Roderick. Bridgit has been a widow since the passing of her husband, Jimmy Root.

Friends may call on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until time of a celebration of her life at 11:30 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home to assist with her burial since her untimely passing.
