He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Cox; his former wife Mary Louise Cox (Sowards); his siblings, Floyd, Merrill Cox, Evaline Wright and Grace Reel; and his stepdaughter Deborah Joan Arlin.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Sandefur-Cox of Norwalk; his children, Larry Cox of Castalia, David Cox of Florida, Vickie Spears of Sandusky, Constance Gruklke of Castalia and Dean Cox of West Virginia; his siblings, Allen of Gallipolis, Warner of Gallipolis, Charles Cox of Gallipolis, Alice Bing of Gallipolis and Luella Hazelbaker of Gallipolis; and his stepchildren, Cheryl North, Michael and Roger Oates of Norwalk. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
