He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas B. Collins and Jean M. Collins (Harrington); his in-laws, Frank and Martha Meyers; his brother Steven Collins; his sister-in-law Margaret Ann Meyers Cotton; and his aunts and uncles, Jack Harrington, Bob Ryan, Sara Harrington and Margaret Harrington Ryan.

He is survived by : his wife Maribeth Collins (Meyers); his daughters, Emily O'Dell (Patrick) and Shea Collins; his grandchildren, Aiden, L. J. and Lola; his siblings, Janet Holt (John), Margaret "Maggie" Collins and Jeff North; his sister-in-law Gayle Barwick-Collins; his nephew Travis; his nieces, Jesse, Sarah (Jereme) and Ali (Justin); and his cousin Kathleen Ryan Schnabele. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
