He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Schaffer and Gladys Schaffer (Greenfelder); his son Rick; and his siblings, Tom Schaffer (Rosie), Joanne Dick (F. J.), Barbara Miller (Leroy), Patricia Mirtes, Stieber, Jim Schaffer (Loretta) and Charlie Schaffer (Theresa).
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his daughter Jackie Sutton (Howard); his siblings, Kathleen Schloemer (Norb), Ruth Weisenberger (Jack), Ted Schaffer (Florence) and Bill Schaffer (Joan); and his grandchildren, Taylor Schaffer, Jacob Sutton (Jaime), Hannah Mackey (Matt), Jessica Sutton and Hayden Sutton. He is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
