He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia; his parents, Robert Lynch and Virginia Lynch; his son Joseph Allen Lynch; his brothers, Robert and Timothy; and his brother-in-law Bill Barnett.
He is survived by: his children, John Lynch II (Christine) of Norwalk and Amanda Lynch (Christopher) of Norwalk; his grandchildren, Mercedes Willams (Donald), John III, Taryn, Joseph (Savannah), Hannah, Kane, Evan, Kellen and Lena Lynch; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Sophia and Rhenley; his siblings, Patrick Lynch (Barb) of Fremont, Susan Barnett of Monroeville, Mary Edwards (Joe) of Sandusky and Jeanne Kloos (Gary) of South Dakota; and his pets, Rosie, Otis and Jack. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
