We announce the death of Larry J. Silcox of Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Larry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Larry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Larry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford E. Silcox and Blanche M. Silcox (Lafene); and his brother Jack Silcox. He is survived by: his children, Lauren G. Silcox (Ryan Short) of Xenia, OH and Benjamin J. Silcox of Cincinnati; his siblings, Melvin Silcox (Sylvia) of Largo, FL and Elaine Lickfelt (Ron) of Sandusky; and his sister-in-law Jane Silcox (Theodora Morris). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church (243 Benedict Ave, Norwalk, OH 44857). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
