We announce the death of Michael M. Gubesch of Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 86. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Gubesch and Mary Gubesch; his wife Joyce; and his siblings, John and Mary.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Gubesch Woods (Tom Santelle) of Norwalk, Jill Gubesch of Chicago and Janine Leon (Alex) of Newark, OH; his grandchildren, Dr. Lauren Woods (Ryan Mullen) of Chicago, IL, Andrew Woods (Caitlin) of Livonia, MI and John Woods (Anira) of Olmstead Falls; his great grandchildren, Carson, Kennedy and Novah; and his sister Nancy Gubesch Smith. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (314 E Main St, Norwalk, OH 44857). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
