It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Shirley Etta Meyer of Norwalk, Ohio, who passed away at the age of 87, on July 17, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rolin E. Sprowl Sr. and Rose Valora Sprowl (Cornish); her husband Richard E. Meyer; her son-in-law Morrison Dillender; and her siblings, Robert Sprowl, Rolin "Eddie" Sprowl Jr., Delores Barber, David Sprowl and Beverly Boren.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Meyer, Laura Dillender, Rebecca Hopkins (Dennis), Stephen Meyer (Georgetta) and Richard Meyer (Anna); and her grandchildren, John, Melissa, Jessica (Nathan), Lindsey (Russell), Samantha (Timothy) and Justin. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

“So sorry to hear about the passing of a dear penpal friend from the early 1960's. I was able to visit with her and the family in 1962 or 1963 and we've kept in touch for all these years. One doesn't get to have many friends to last so long. Thank you especially to Lisa who let me know of Shirley's passing, and also a note a time or two in the past when Shirley had some medical issues.
