With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley A. Schmuhl of Norwalk, Ohio. Shirley, born on January 28, 1933 in Huron, Ohio, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence M. Irving and Blanche C. Irving (Willitzer); her former husband Alvin Schmuhl; her grandson Kevin Schmuhl; her brother Lawrence Irving (Shirley); and her siblings-in-law, Joseph Schmuhl (Virginia) and Barbara Scott (Larry).
She is survived by: her husband Captain Al; her children, Matthew Schmuhl (Gayle), Laura Sadler, Thomas Schmuhl (Laurie) and Mary Jane Schmuhl; her grandchildren, Timothy, Daniel Schmuhl, Kenneth Schmuhl (Meghan), Catherine Schmuhl (Dani Cervellino) and Margaret Schmuhl-Parcella (Bradley); her stepgrandchildren, Keli Eckel (Zach), Heather Hemenway (Shawn) and Jared Matso (Cassondra); and her great grandchildren, Grant, Carson, Miles Eckel, Emmett, Warren Hemenway, Oliver, Quinn, Juniper Parcella, Isabella Schmuhl, Westley Cervellino, Scarlett and Lyra Matso.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (91 E Main St, Norwalk, OH 44857).
