He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Dewitz and Bessie Dewitz (Pfeiffer); his sisters, Reta Windisch (Ron) and Doris Gnepper; and his brother-in-law Marvin Tabbert.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lau; his children, Diane Winke (Todd), Nancy Beier (Mike), Linda Haar (Doug) and David Dewitz (Heather); his grandchildren, Alissa Winke, Erica Bloomer (Randall Mollison), Andrea Winke, Mitchell Beier (Alicia), Anthony Beier (Rachael), Emily Haar, Ally Haar, Matthew Dewitz, Noah Dewitz and Nicholas Dewitz; his great grandchildren, Emma Reinhart, Faith, Ty Bloomer, Cali, Jordyn and Claire Beier; his siblings, Ila Tabbert, Janis Gyde (William) and Ed Dewitz (Judy); and his brother-in-law Paul Gnepper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.
Preferred memorials to St. Boniface Catholic Church or Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa, Florida.
