He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Christie and R. Paul Christie; his brothers, Don and Bill Christie; his daughter Dani Boss (Jeff); and his former wife Frances Christie.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Christie; his sons, Dan Christie (Margie) of Miamisburg and Don Christie (Michelle) of Perrysburg, Ohio; his stepchildren, Lyle Ganske (Mary) of Cleveland, Ohio and Sue Ganske (Ed) of Fort Myers, Florida.; his grandchildren, Seth Boss (Sara), Samantha Lipstraw (Jake), Nicole Christie (Patrick), Ashley Christie (Cody), Courtney Christie, Kevin Christie, Ryan Christie, Olivia Christie and Michaela Christie; his stepgrandchildren, Mike Ganske, Sara Ganske (Fred), Lillian Ganske and Penelope Ganske (Alex); his great grandchildren, Mila, Slade Lipstraw, Margot, Gwen Poplis, Izzy Taulbee and Roman Boss; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Francesca Fucci and Louise Marie Stekler.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Dave Christie Oak Harbor High School Athletic Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to a graduating male and female scholar-athlete at Oak Harbor High School.
