It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D. Hasselbach of Oak Harbor, Ohio, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hasselbach and Christine Hasselbach (Miller); his sister Nancy; his brother-in-law Jim Gruver; his sons-in-law, Daniel Bowman and Garry Fussell; and his grandson-in-law Brannon Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kleinhans of Oak Harbor; his children, Jeff Hasselbach (Lisa) of Fremont, OH, Jay Hasselbach of Oak Harbor, OH and Jill Fussell (Michael Weis) of Oregon, OH; his grandchildren, Cassie Piper (Steve), Jake Hasselbach (Kim), Adam Hasselbach (Carrissa), Katelyn Bryden (Keith), Kyle Hasselbach (Jaclyn), Andrea Hasselbach, Michael Hasselbach (Natalie) and Ryan Hasselbach; his stepgrandchildren, Corey Fussell (Sheila), Chris Fussell (Jill) and Brittany Martin; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Billy, Jenna, Kimber, Addison, Madalyn, Deacon, Olivia, Hadley, Lindy, Logan, Alyssa, Brock and Dane of Demi, DJ; and his sister Janet Morley (Jim) of Fremont, OH..
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (122 W Ottawa St, Oak Harbor, OH 43449). A reception was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be given to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
