He was predeceased by: his parents, James Schmidt and Phyllis Schmidt (Hill); his siblings, Kathleen, Mike and Tod; his wife Jan Schmidt; and his pet Teddy.
He is survived by: his children, Stacy Schmidt (Mike Ellinger) and Scott Schmidt (Erin); his grandchildren, Caden Vazquez (Peyton Walters), Joshua Hernandez, Nora Schmidt, Laney Schmidt and Trey Schmidt; his siblings, Jay and Lyn Schmidt; and his former wife Linda Schmidt (Dave Turnage).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home - Oak Harbor (165 E Water St, Oak Harbor, OH 43449). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory (165 E Water St, Oak Harbor, OH 43449).
The family welcomes all to celebrate Tom's life immediately following the service at his favorite stop, Blackberry Corners Tavern for "one more."Memorial contributions in Thomas's memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
