He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Moore and Dessie Moore (Clark); his siblings, Ronda Moore and Robert Moore (Freck); his mother-in-law Connie Howell; and his brother-in-law Jeff Howell.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his son Jason; his daughter-in-law Melissa; his granddaughter Odessa Drew; his siblings, David Moore (Patsy), Teresa Hughes (Kenneth), Ervin Moore (Janell) and Clayton Moore; his father-in-law John Howell (Ruth) of Jackson, Ohio; and his daughter-in-law Pam Harris of New Lexington, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Alan requested donations be made to a program that was very dear to him.
