He is survived by: his mother Jean Strickland (Snyder); his children, Kristin Strickland (Chris), Jeremy Keith Strickland, Carson Strickland and Lea "Willie" Cole (Devin); his grandchildren, Kyland Brooke Strickland, Bristol Kate Strickland, Brantlee Strickland, Kyndall Beth Strickland, Savannah Joann, Finley Jo Strickland, Grey Barrett Cole, Scarlett Maeve Cole, Landon Carter and Madlyn Canter; his siblings, Becky Coleman (Ed), Rita Adkins, Tim Strickland (Tara), Karen Rife (Jim) and Todd Strickland; and his pet Smoky. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
