We bid farewell to Jasper Hughes of Oak Hill, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 8, 2025 at the age of 91. Jasper touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hughes and Grace Hughes (Rawlins); his children, Gregory Hughes and Susan Blevins (Hughes); and his siblings, Shirley Phillips, Virginia Stroth, Bill, Paul, Brenton, Ronnie and Terry.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hughes (Angel); his son Brian Hughes (Amanda); his grandsons, Kole Hughes, Kyle Hughes (Jenna), Dylan Blevins (Becky) and Brant Hughes; his great grandchildren, Claya Hughes, Gwyn Blevins, Charlotte Hughes and Zeke Blevins of Oak Hill, Ohio.; and his siblings, Larry Hughes of Oak Hill, Ohio and Joan Baisden of Jackson, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill (202 Maple Ave, Oak Hill, OH 45656). The military honors will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
