He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hale and Wanda Hale. He is survived by: his wife Andrea; his children, Cody (Tori Hale) and Griffin (Mykah Hale); his grandchildren, Evelyn, Holland and Judah Hale; his siblings, Doug, Linda Hale, Greg Hale, Carla, Charlie Burchett, Michael and Joy Hale; his parents-in-law, Steve and Paulette Richards; and his brother-in-law Stephen (Tara Richards). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
