He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville P. Metzler and Margaret Louise Metzler (Searls); his wife Judy A. Adkins; and his siblings, Kay Smith, Judy Campbell and Jack Metzler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anna Miller of Oak Hill and Jennifer Lovett (Chris) of Oak Hill; and his grandchildren, Crystal Miller, Cory Miller and Caleb Lovett.
