He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Sholl and Estella Sholl (Link); his wife Shirley Sholl; his siblings, Leo, Charles, Gareld, Joseph, Walter Sholl and Catherine Ann Cline; and his son-in-law Mark Shomsky.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Sholl of Cecil, Angie Dangler (Owen) of Bryan and Nicole Shomsky of Ayersville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc. (529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (510 Jackson Ave, Defiance, OH 43512).
Memorials are suggested to St. John Catholic Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
