Joanne Ward Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur F. Ives and Mary Helen Ives (Mingus); her siblings, Wilbur J. Ives, Edward Ives, Robert, Richard Ives, Mary Jane Cornwell, Evelyn Kimball, Betty Ann Wilbur and Ruth Eleanor Ives; her husband James Ward Sr.; and her grandson James Ward III.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Simms (Jim) of Oberlin, James Ward Jr. (Bernice) of Lakewood and Julianne Hill (Duane) of Amherst. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (410 W Lorain St, Oberlin, OH 44074).
She excelled at crochet, donating many baby blankets to local hospitals.
