He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Gressler; his brother Joseph Gressler; and his parents, Joseph Gressler Sr. and Angeline. He is survived by: his wife Janet Gressler; and his sisters, Mary and Denise Gressler of Oberlin. He is also survived by many children, grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

The military honors will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic (410 W Lorain St, Oberlin, OH 44074). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
