He is survived by : his wife Beverly Dietz; his children, Rebecca Hodges, Donald R Hodges and Rhonda L Schoulthies; his grandchildren, Jessica Cavana, Tricia Finke, Tara Aylor, Amber Haller, Alex Schoulthies, Joshua Hodges, Shasta Stewart, Marcus, Michael Jr. Hodges and Michaela Daouk; his great grandchildren, Kenzie Moore, Alyssa Fohn of Madelyn Zwick, C. J., Charli Aylor, Danielle Finke, Trinity Brett, Colton Haller, Livie Haller, Mason Hodges and Emma Hodges; his great great grandchild Jackson Woodgeard; and his brother Stanley "Buddy" Dietz Jr..

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harrison Moose Lodge (110 N Vine St, Harrison, OH 45030). The military honors was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
