He was predeceased by: his parents, Victoria Moats and Omer D. Moats; and his siblings, Robert Moats and Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Martha Moats; his daughters, Sandra Lavelle (Tom Kelcan) and Cathy Ols (Timothy); his grandchildren, Mark, Jack and Kathleen; and his siblings, Clarence, Harold, Carol, Ron and Dolores.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Legacy Funeral Home (6265 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Falls, OH 44070). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Legacy Chapel (6451 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Township, OH 44138). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:45 PM at the Sunset Cemetery (6265 Columbia Rd, Olmsted Falls, OH 44070).
