It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melanie Rhea of Ontario, Ohio, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Himburg and Mary Costello Himburg; her grandson Jacob Mangus; and her brother Mark Himburg. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Rhea; her children, Charles Riechter (Betty) of Georgetown, OH, Chad Riechter of Maine, David Zimmerman of Dillsboro, IN, Lisa Mangus of Wilmington and Emily Johnston (Derrick) of Spencer; and her siblings, Susan Himburg of Columbus and Don Himburg of Cincinnati. She is also survived by grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeromesville (18 North St, Jeromesville, OH 44840).
