He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mitchell and Elsie Mitchell (Young); his great grandchild Raylynn Blevins; and his siblings, Jack, Ted, Earl Mitchell, Helen Marsh, Virginia McCamman and Eloise Simmermacher.
He is survived by: his wife Joene Mitchell (Ireland); his children, Bobbie O'Day and Raymond Mitchell (Jane); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Zachary Mitchell, Justin O'Day (Ashley), Jessica Hosack (Ryan) and Joseph Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Clarence Blevins, Audrey, Avery Hosack, Maeve O'Day, Mason, Megan Mitchell, Aaliyah and Dewan Allen Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
