He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick Nelson and Suzanne Nelson (Bates). He is survived by : his siblings, Daniel Nelson (Maryjo), Lucinda Burghardt (James) and Lori Nietrzeba.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home (1640 Smith Rd, Temperance, MI 48182). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
