He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gladieux and Anna Gladieux (Fleitz); his former wife Patricia Purdy (Carole); his sons, John and Barney Jr.; and his siblings, Elmer (Al), Glenn, Gerald, Chuck, Roy, Elizabeth Metzger, Beatrice Smith and Sarah Keller.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Linda), Hank (Jodi) of Freeport, Mary Ann Rhoads (Marvin) of Hillsboro, Patty McNeal-Harp (Hope) and Brian Nelson of Toledo, Ohio.; and his close friends, Jim and Chris Starcher. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calendar Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616).
