He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel O'Connell and Minnie O'Connell; his wife Dianna; his daughter Debra Erdmann; and his siblings, JoAnn, Thomas, William O'Connell and Dorothy Schneider.

He is survived by: his son Daniel O'Connell (Amy); his sister Mary O'Connell; and his cousin Debbe Sadlier.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Freck Funeral Chapel (1155 S Wynn Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
