He is survived by: his sons, Forest Mitchell and Kenneth Mitchell (Jessica); his grandchildren, Forest Mitchell Jr., Nielisa Mellenkamp (Matthew), Chris Mitchell, Lois Mitchell, Autumn Keaton, Kaylee Mitchell, Danny Barrett (Corenia), Eugene Barrett (Felcia) and Tosha; his great grandchildren, Malia, Dakota, Forest III, Lakelyn, Billie, Gabriel, Colton, Madelyn, Bryson, Daniel, Jayden, Tonya, Kaitlyn, Skiler, Payten, Bevie, Allie and Cerria; and his great great grandchild Moe.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Swanton TWP Cemetery.
