He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Welty and Evelyn Welty (Betz); and his son Ken Welty. He is survived by : his wife Susan Welty; his daughters, Teresa Swanson (Deacon Michael) and Chrissy Finch (Steve); his grandchildren, Ben Swanson (Stephanie), Daniel Swanson, Nolan Finch, Aly Finch and Destiny Welty; his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Landon Swanson; and his sister Sharon Perry (Don).

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
