He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurora and Arturo Lopez; and his brothers, Eleodoro "Lolo" Lopez and Felipe Longoria. He is survived by: his wife Olga Losoya; his children, Rodolfo "Jay" Lopez Jr. (Melinda), Olga Lopez (John Court), Ruby Lopez and Rose Tovar (Peter); his siblings, Teofilo Longoria and Beatrice Rodriguez (Jorge); his sisters-in-law, Ofelia Lopez and Josefina Longoria; and his grandchildren, Veronica Mora (Roberto Reyes), Vanessa Court (Darren Linthicum), Velina Garcia (Patrick Smith), Jorge Cruz Salazar Jr. (Grace Bevan), Julio Salazar (Celeste), Alex Tovar, Cristina Badillo (Jesus), David Tovar (Stefania), Joshua Lopez and Marissa Lopez. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rudy's honor to Toledo Metroparks – Walbridge Park or Flag City Honor Flight, two organizations that reflected places and experiences he deeply loved.
