She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Backus and Jacqueline Backus (Middaugh); and her brothers, Chris and Greg Backus. She is survived by: her partner Terry; and her siblings, Ric Backus (Lynn), Keith Backus (Kelly) and Deneen Parker.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home-Oregon Chapel (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
