With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley A. Evans of Oregon, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Szabo and Viola Szabo (Mann); her husband Jerry; and her brothers, Bob and Steve Szabo.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey E. Thompson (Jackie) and Richard K. Thompson; her granddaughters, Jessica Renner (Chris), Hallie Thompson and Brooke Bodeman (Matt); her great grandchildren, Reagan, Jackson, Madison, Dane and Quinn; her cousin Patricia Wills (Charlie); and her close friend Linda Martin.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home-Oregon Chapel (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
