It is with sadness that the passing of Bertha Slabaugh of Orient, Ohio is shared. Bertha, born on April 10, 1931, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Bertha will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Bertha by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Bertha is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Bertha’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph J. and Mary O. Slabaugh (Tice); her siblings, Martha Slabaugh, Raymond Slabaugh (Audrey) and Marvin Slabaugh (Mary); and her brother-in-law Don Bratschie.
She is survived by: her siblings, William Slabaugh (Miriam) of Carson City and Miriam Bratschie of Grove City, Ohio. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the East Union Mennonite Church (10678 Old Lincoln Way, Orrville, OH 44667). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
